Ogle Feature Package
The process in making this feature package on Ogle Cosmetology School of Hair, Make-up and Nails was an interesting process. Mainly because I attended a different cosmetology school and things were done very differently. First of all there are eight different Ogle locations I had no idea there were so many successful locations in Texas. Secondly, There are different phases that each student must go through and you can begin at almost any time. Thirdly, I was inclined to do this story on this specific school because as a little girl I had a birthday party at the hurst location. Ten of my closest friends were invited and we rode in a limo to the salon where we had manicures, pedicures, make-up, and even our styled. Chicago, the name of the stylist that did my hair, inspired me to become a licensed cosmetologist at the very moment. As a kid growing up I always heard the name Ogle being thrown around I knew older men and women that were going through cosmetology school. A familiar name, Ogle School of Cosmetology. Anytime, I was asked why I chose to become a licensed cosmetologist I always told it was because of Chicago with her short brown hair, tan skin, and drive to become someone great. Every time I am in the salon working I know she was the one that motivated me to become what I am today. In the end I wish the same for the men and women that are in cosmetology schools learning what they love so they can strive to accomplish their dreams and aspirations whether that be in another state, working alongside family, or even a salon on wheels.

Birdville Center of Career and Technology and Advanced Learning
The Birdville Center of Career and Technology and Advanced Learning was created so that students would be provided with opportunities at earlier stages in life. Not only to allow them to have those opportunities but to allow them to work their way through college if they so desired. When the students in the cosmetology program, that is offered at the career tech center, graduate they will be a fully licensed cosmetologist. The great thing about this program is not only that it is cheaper than a private cosmetology school but the students only have to clock 1,500 practical hours as opposed to 2,000 hours that you do in a private school. In this program the students receive the additional 500 hours for graduating high school but they must graduate high school to be fully licensed. All in all these programs that are offered at the center provide opportunities that some kids could only dream of and thankfully the center is making these dreams come true.

The road to Jennifer Ramey's success
Jennifer Ramey's success came at a later point in her life. She finally loves what she does every single day. Ramey has had many hardships within her family, business, and even herself and to this day she has still achieved the goals she has given herself. She is a very determined, hardworking and skilled woman that isn't afraid to go after what she wants. When starting her salon business about four years ago she made sure she was going about it the right way; interviewing other business owners and get the information in line before getting a business loan and starting the the official process of being a salon owner. To this day Ramey wouldn't trade it for the world, she loves what she does and her clients love her. In fact, she has the clientele to prove it all of her employees have the clientele to prove that she is a great business owner.

United All-Star hair and make up tutorial
Owner Jill Tatum travels to the Arlington location from Keller, Texas to make sure that each of the three all star teams know how to do their hair and make-up before the official season starts. Every year around this time we make sure that each parent is aware of exactly what to do. Appearance has a great deal to do with how the athletes perform and how they look on stage when they do perform. Every gym out there wants their teams to look their best. A motto that United goes by is, "If you look good then you feel good, if you feel good then you perform well." Don't forget to check out my live twitter feed on the rest of the make-up tutorial. There are great links with a step by step how to for a smoky eye.

A day at Sambri Composure
Going into the salon and taking all of these photographs makes me realize the kind of work it really does take just to finish one client's hair. Not only just their hair but to maintain and clean the salon. There are towels that have to be washed constantly otherwise there won't be any to dry the client's after shampooing their hair or even for the stylist to have after putting product in their hair. There are so many things that go into keeping a salon running effectively and all of this is going on while the client in under the dryer or in between clients. When starting a salon you have to make sure you have done your research and can make sure you are starting a successful business. The link below gives different tips on making sure you are running a salon professionally and effectively.

Mirror Mirror on the wall tell me the secrets you keep from all
As a little girl I had always wanted to do hair, make-up and nails. I just wanted people to love what they looked like little did I know that I would actually make it happen. Today I am a licensed cosmetologist and actively work in a salon in Texas. I received my certification a few years ago and now that I have learned all the secrets I want to share them with you. I want everyone to be able to look at themselves in the mirror and know they look the best they possibly can. With that being said I want everyone to ask any questions they have and it can range from teasing your hair to putting lipstick on correctly but please don't ask me how to fix your hair once you have cut it at home because that takes a salon visit! Better yet let's leave cutting the hair the professionals. When going through cosmetology school I never knew there was a specific way to do everything with the correct technique to make sure you get that volume or awesome curls. I was shocked and I can't wait to share all these secrets with you! Stay tuned for all these hidden beauty tips!
